Examinations
Your pet’s examination is one of the most economical ways to provide preventative medicine for your pet. Routine checkups will enable your pet's doctor to develop a history of your pet’s health and be able to identify health issues early.
Vaccinations
Your veterinarian will recommend a vaccine protocol that will protect your pet from many serious or life-threatening diseases. Reminders are mailed and/or emailed to ensure timely boosters to maintain immunization status
Dental Care
Regular dental care is not simply about keeping your pet’s teeth pearly white; it is also an important aspect of their overall health. Having your pet’s doctor examine and clean your pet’s teeth regularly will prevent major dental disease in the future. Regular cleanings will also help prevent bad breath.
Radiography
Our state of the art digital X-ray will help your pet’s doctor to accurately diagnose conditions with the least amount of discomfort to your pet. We have combined the iPad with our digital X-ray equipment to enable our doctors to show and explain the diagnosis based on the X-ray image.
Pharmacy
We carry a full range of medicine that your veterinarian may prescribe for your pet. We offer you the convenience of going home with your pet’s medication without the need to stop at another pharmacy or wait several days after ordering it on the internet. For times when you are unable to collect refill medications in person, we offer the convenience of mailing prescriptions. Just ask for more information.
Microchipping
One of the best ways to ensure your pet’s safe return in the event your pet becomes lost is to utilize a HOME AGAIN microchip. This is a very quick and painless procedure that gives you the added security that your pet will be returned home. At Westside Veterinary Hospital, we understand the importance of the microchip, which is why we have made it available for only $20.00. This includes registration.
Heartworm, Flea, and Tick Prevention
We carry a wide variety of heartworm, flea, and tick prevention. We also have several combination products. Our Trifexis prices will beat Petmeds and we offer up to an additional $25 rebate on Trifexis. Heartworms are one of the least expensive yet serious illnesses to prevent. Ask us what would be best for your situation.
Laboratory Diagnostic Capabilities
When time is critical, Westside Veterinary Hospital has the ability to perform laboratory diagnostics in house. What does this mean for your pet? We can have results regarding urgent blood work within minutes! We also have the ability to send lab samples to an outside diagnostic laboratory center. Either way, your pet will receive the best care possible.
Surgery
Our doctors perform a wide range of surgeries from spays and neuters, soft tissue (tumor) removals to ear crops. Your pet will be carefully monitored by our skilled technicians and advanced electronic equipment during and after your pet’s procedure.
Pet Boarding
Pets must be current on all vaccinations. We will be happy to vaccinate your pet while boarding. While you are welcome to bring your own food, bedding and toys, we supply Science Diet and Purina food, bowls, bedding and leashes. Pets are walked on leashes in our fenced yard three times a day, seven days a week. Read more about boarding pets.
